What to Enjoy This Season at the Ballpark

On March 28, the Seattle Mariners will played their home opener against the World Series champion Boston Red Sox. This past off-season, the team dramatically changed their roster, and gone are stars such as Nelson Cruz, Robinson Cano, Edwin Diaz and Jean Segura. While the jury is still out in regards to how the new team will perform on the field this year, Mariners’ fans can be certain of one thing: the team will provide some of best food concessions in baseball.

Here are some of the new eateries and menu items fans can expect to experience this season at T-Mobile Park:

Paseo
Available at Edgar’s Cantina and Edgar’s Home Run Porch, Paseo is a Caribbean sandwich outlet known for their roast sandwich, which includes pork shoulder, pickled jalapeños, caramelized onions, cilantro, lettuce and lots of garlic aioli. Other dishes on the menu there include:

  • Tofu Sandwich
  • Chicken Sandwich
  • Caribbean Bowl
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Black Beans and Rice
  • Nachos
  • Caribbean Fries with Aioli

Li’l Woody’s Burgers & Shakes
Fans of Li’l Woody’s Burgers will be happy to know that they will be able to find them in The ‘Pen this season at the park. There they will offer their grass-fed standard burgers: their namesake Li’l Woody and the Big Woody, which is topped with bacon. They will also be selling chicken tenders and a vegetarian burger as well as their ice cream shakes.

Fat’s Chicken
Also appearing this season at The ‘Pen will be Fat’s Chicken. Those who love the restaurant’s fried chicken will be able to choose from the following:

  • Buttermilk Fried Chicken Strips and Fries
  • 5-Spice Fried Chicken Thigh Sandwich
  • Chicken Wings (3 Varieties)
  • Poutine
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Rice with Andouille Sausage Gravy

Shug’s Soda Fountain & Ice Cream

Available at The ‘Pen, the Main Level and Section 152, will be Shug’s and their terrific old fashioned ice cream. What’s more, if you are an adult who enjoys adult beverages, they will be also offering their ice cream in a very special float that comes with some San Martino Doc Extra Dry.

New Menu Items at the Old Standbys
This season, you will also be able to find some exciting new food items at existing ballpark eateries. This includes the following:

Hit It Here Café
New food items at the right-field restaurant include:

  • Personal-Sized Pizzas
  • Kuku Fries
  • Vegetarian Burger

Frozen Rope Sandwich Company
This season, the dessert vendor, which is located at both the Main Concourse and Section 132, is offering a new cookie that has two types of Belgian chocolate and walnuts, all topped off with some fleur de sel.

The Sultan of Sandwich
Located at both the Main Concourse and Section 105, the sandwich shop is adding a sandwich named after broadcaster Dave Niehaus. It includes lots of salami, smoked provolone cheese and mustard on a rye baguette.
